As the first vaccines against COVID-19 get approval across the world, countering vaccine hesitancy in the public is crucial to contain the pandemic. One of the most complicated communicative challenges for the media and public health officials is vaccine side effects, a type of information that may easily become misleading or misinformation. We analyse differences in trust and media between three countries (Singapore, Türkiye, and the United States) and the influence of hesitancy inducing media narratives on vaccine evaluations and intentions.
